Texas Lutheran University

Marcus Pais '06 joins the Texas Lutheran University men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach, bringing extensive experience in player development and leadership within the Texas soccer community. A former Bulldog, Pais played at Texas Lutheran University from 2003–2006, and returns to Seguin with a strong connection to the program and its tradition. Pais is still the program's all-time leader in assists (25) and ranks fifth in the program's history in career points (61).

Pais holds a USSF B License and the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma, and has spent over a decade developing players at the academy, high school, and elite youth levels. He has served in leadership roles including Academy Director for San Antonio United Soccer Club and Lions Futball Club, as well as Staff Coach and Leadership Director with Boerne Soccer Club. His background also includes coaching within the U.S. Soccer Development Academy system and serving as a South Texas Olympic Development Program staff coach.

Pais is excited to return to TLU and looks forward to helping develop Bulldogs student-athletes while building a championship-level culture on and off the field.
