SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran Acrobatics & Tumbling head coach Cam Bryant announced her resignation today after serving as the program's inaugural head coach and leading the program for three seasons. She finishes her tenure with an 8-17 record over three seasons, improving her win-loss percentage each season.
Bryant led the Bulldogs to two NCATA Division-III Tournament including most recently a national runner-up finish in 2025 after entering as the tournament's number two-seed. In 2025, in just the third season since the program's inception, the Bulldogs finished with a program-best record of 6-4 and earned four individual event titles.
Bryant accepted the position as the inaugural head acrobatics and tumbling coach at Texas Lutheran in February 2022 and after a winless inaugural season in 2023, led the Bulldogs to their first two wins – both over East Texas Baptist – in 2024. The 2025 season saw the Bulldogs not only raise the standard of the program with their six wins, but also saw the Bulldogs earn their first ranked win over then No. 12 ranked Hawaii Pacific.
Acrobatics and tumbling made significant progress last week toward NCAA championship status, with its inaugural National Collegiate Championship potentially taking place in spring 2027. Acrobatics and tumbling, which became an emerging sport in August 2020, quickly grew its NCAA sponsorship from 27 schools in the 2020-21 academic year to more than 40 in 2023-24.
Texas Lutheran has launched a national search for the next Texas Lutheran acrobatics and tumbling coach and will not make any comments on prospective candidates or the search process.
