Bulldogs Fall to Austin College, 7-2

SHERMAN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis dropped their final match of their scheduled six-match road trip to Austin College, 5-2, Saturday afternoon in Sherman to fall to 0-3 on the season.

Starting in a hole before doubles play even started due to losing a match by default, Texas Lutheran would lose the doubles point after dropping the #1 doubles match. The team of Lucero Alvarado (San Antonio/Southwest) and Serenity Cabrera (San Antonio/New Braunfels) won their match 6-2.

The team of Lindsay Beville (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Kassidee Webb (Castroville/Medina Valley) played to a competitive 4-6 finish.

Beville would win her singles match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1, while it would take Webb three sets to win her singles match, rallying to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Up next, Texas Lutheran returns to Seguin for their first home match of the 2025 season against Louisiana Christian on Monday, March 3. First serve is set for 10 AM.
