BATON ROUGE, LA -- The Texas Lutheran men's track and field team competed in the LSU Twilight Friday at Carl Maddox Field House at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. TLU would be one of three Division-III teams competing in the meet.
Freshman Braylen Brown finished second overall and first amongst Division-III sprinters in the 200m dash with a time of 22.76 seconds. Weston Guzman (McAllen/McAllen) finished fourth in the race with a time of 22.99 seconds with Eden Perez finishing fifth with a time of 23.01 seconds.
Ezra Acero (San Antonio/Harlan) finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.57m (15' 0"), only trailing a vaulter from LSU. Acero remains in contention for the NCAA Indoor National Championships as he is currently tied for 19th in Division-III with just over two weeks until qualifiers are named.
Gabriel Ceballos (San Antonio/Smithson Valley) finished sixth in the 800m run with a time of 2:01.23 to lead Division-III runners while Wesley Holub (Wallis/Brazos) finished eighth with a time of 2:02.51.
The Texas Lutheran 4x400m relay team comprised of Braylen Brown, Eden Perez, Wyatt Wilson (New Braunfels/New Braunfels), and David Hinojosa finished second overall, beating two relay teams from Division-I Nicholls State in the process, with a time of 3:30.05.

Texas Lutheran will take the next week off before opening their outdoor season at the Southwestern Invitational in Georgetown on March 1 on the campus of Southwestern University.
