HOUSTON, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's track and field team competed in the FasTrak Athletix Indoor Collegiate Challenge Saturday at Yeoman Fieldhouse at the University of Houston in a field primarily filled by Division-I competition.
Kenna Kubenka (Hallettsville/Hallettsville) finished ninth overall and first amongst Division-III throwers in the weight throw with a mark of 13.33m (43' 8.75"). Julissa Rodriguez (Deer Park/Deer Park) finished first amongst Division-III throwers in the shot put with a mark of 11.19m (36' 8.5").
Senior Taylor Norrell (Lake Jackson/Brazosport) finished 17th overall and second amongst Division-III sprinters in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.57 seconds.
The 4x400m relay team comprised of Sage Bartlett (Buda/Johnson), Kamilah Tanner (Killeen/Robert M. Shoemaker), Katie Kostelnik (Hallettsville/Sacred Heart Catholic), and Natalie Garcia (McAllen/McAllen) finished 14th overall and third amongst Division-III relay teams with a time of 4:17.21.
