SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team earned a hard fought 2-1 victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor Sunday night to pick up their first victory of the 2024 season. The Bulldogs improve to 1-0-1 while the Crusaders fall to 0-1-1.

Fifth-year senior Kaden Adam (Austin/Akins) scored his first goal of the season and career with one second remaining in the first half to get the Bulldogs on the board.

All-Region defender Diego Roman (Houston/Lamar) notched the game-winning goal in the second half, his first of the season and just the second of his career while senior Cole Sixkiller (San Antonio/Reagan) collected the assist on the goal.

The Bulldogs surrendered a goal in the 78th minute but senior Noel Pena (Houston/Cy-Falls) still earned his first win of the year in goal, making two saves.

Overall, the Bulldogs outshot the Crusaders 9-8, including a 7-3 edge in shots on goal.
