Texas Lutheran Opens at Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened the 2024 Alamo City Classic at Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio on Monday.

Senior Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) paced the Bulldogs shooting 13-over (84), tying for 17th through the opening 18 holes. Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) trails Springs by a single stroke after her opening round, tying for 20th.

Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) sits in 27th after an opening round score of 90. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) sits in 33rd place while Peighton Guillory (Atascocita/Atascocita) is in 34th place.

As a team, Texas Lutheran is in sixth place through the opening 18 holes with a score of 69-over 353. Trinity, the hosts of the Alamo City Classic, lead through the first day with a score of 19-over 303.

The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 8:30 AM at Quarry Golf Course. Live stats will be available here.
