Texas Lutheran Picked to Finish Fifth in SCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

SUWANEE, GA -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team has been tabbed to finish fifth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) this season, as revealed in Tuesday's preseason poll of league coaches.

Four All-SCAC Players return to the squad including captain and First Team All-SCAC defender Jack Manke (Houston/Stratford). All-SCAC Second Team midfielder Louis Hart (Missouri City/Ridge Point), All-SCAC Honorable Mention midfielder Erick Lopez (Humble/Humble) and 2022 All-Freshman Team member Chris Nieto (Brownsville/Idea Toros College Prep) round out the 2022 All-SCAC honorees returning for the 2023 squad. Hart and Lopez tied to be the second leading scorers on the 2022 team with three goals each.

TLU officially opens the season on Friday, Sept. 1 on the road at Occidental College.
