SEGUIN, TX -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis dropped their home match to East Texas Baptist Friday afternoon, 8-1.

The team of freshmen Kara Bucey (Corpus Christi/London) and Kayleigh Gardner (El Campo/El Campo) picked up their first collegiate match wins - winning their doubles match 8-3 over the visiting Tigers. The team of Kaitlyn Enloe (Seguin/Seguin) and Haley Hoffmann (Seguin/Navarro) battled in their doubles match before falling 8-5.

Women's tennis was swept in singles competition.

Paula Acosta would push her singles match to three sets before falling 2-6, 7-5, 0-6.

Texas Lutheran begins a two-match road trip next week as they head to Austin, Texas, to face Concordia University on Friday, February 18th. First serve is set for 12 PM.
