SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran and East Texas Baptist battled to a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods Sunday afternoon at TLU's Gustafson Field.

Silas Sangano scored for the Tigers in the 53rd minute, and Cameron Townes reciprocated for the Bulldogs in the 84th minute. ETBU's Joel Botello and TLU's Agustin Cueva registered the assists for each of the goals, respectively.

Goalkeepers Bryant Botello for ETBU and Brendan Soto for TLU both had seven saves.

The Tigers outshot the Bulldogs 24-10, but both teams had eight total shots on goal.

The Bulldogs were guilty of 20 fouls and received three cards (two yellow and one red). The Tigers had 14 fouls and three yellows card of their own.

TLU returns to action next Friday against University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. Game time in Belton is schedules for 7 p.m.
