SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Soccer completed a weekend sweep of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 1-0 victory Sunday afternoon over the Centenary College Gents.

Eduardo Lopez-Rivera knocked home the match-winner in the 48th minute off a double assist from David Ching (who connected on the corner kick) and Cameron Townes (who flicked the ball in the box to Lopez-Rivera).

The Bulldogs moved to 2-5 overall and to 2-1 in the SCAC. Centenary dropped to 3-4 overall and to 0-3 in the SCAC.

TLU defeated Austin College 1-0 on Friday for the Bulldogs' first match win of the season after starting the year 0-5.

TLU controlled the action for the majority of the game and out-shot Centenary 23-4 overall and 11-2 in shots on goal.

Bulldog keeper Brendan Soto needed to make just two saves. Centenary keeper Rylan Whan was kept busy. Whan produced 10 saves.

TLU's Guillermo Guerra registered four total shots and two shots on goal. Miguel Candelario also had four shots and two shots on goal. David Ching tallied three shots, a shot on goal and an assist.

The Bulldogs continue SCAC play next Friday and Sunday with matches at Colorado College and University of Dallas.
