SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs closed out a 3-0 win over East Texas Baptist by scoring three goals in the final 5:51 of the match.
TLU Men's Soccer improved to 2-0 with the non-conference win. ETBU dropped to 0-2 with the road loss at Gustafson Field.
Alejandro Martinez put TLU on the board first with an unassisted goal in the 84th minutes. An ETBU defender deflected the ball in front of Tiger keeper Tyler Garner, and Martinez was there to knock home the deflection.
Miguel Candelario, with an assist from Martinez, made it 2-0 just over three minutes later. Candelario scored on a header into the left corner of the goal.

Eric Mendez netted his first career goal as a Bulldog with just 17 seconds remaining in the match.
TLU out-shot ETBU 22-11 and had an 11-3 edge in shots on goal.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday with a 4 p.m. non-conference home match against LeTourneau University.
