Schreiner storms to women's crown at ConCan; Bulldogs take third

The Schreiner University women posted a tournament-low score of 340 Tuesday in the second round of the Texas Lutheran ConCan Intercollegiate Classic and roared to the tournament title by 17 shots.

Texas Lutheran tied for third with a team score of 738.

TLU’s Angela Aufderhaar took home second after a second consecutive 83 for a two-day total of 166.

Aufderhaar leads, Bulldog women in second at TLU ConCan tourney

Texas Lutheran received a first-round leading score of 83 from Angela Aufderhaar to secure a tie for second after round one Monday at the TLU ConCan Intercollegiate Classic.

At The Club at ConCan, Aufderhaar (Seguin/Seguin) posted a 39 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine of the par-72, 5,808-yard course.

Aufderhaar leads the tournament by two shots over LeTourneau teammates Leslie Lee and Candice Nishimura, who posted 85s on Monday.

TLU's Carly Hansen brings home third-place finish at Schreiner

Texas Lutheran’s Carly Hansen closed the Schreiner Shootout with an 81 and claimed third place in the individual standings.

Hansen followed her 88 on Monday with the 81 on Tuesday. Hansen’s 81 was the third-lowest round of the day.

TLU Women's Golf in 5th after round one at Schreiner Shootout

The Texas Lutheran women’s golf team opened the Schreiner Shootout on Monday with a team score of 370.

The Bulldogs hold fifth place entering Tuesday’s final round of 18 holes.

At Comanche Trace Golf Course, the Bulldogs received scores of 88 and 89 from seniors Carly Hansen and Angela Aufderhaar. Hansen sits in eighth, and Aufderhaar is in 12th.
